Write The Balanced Chemical Reaction

Can you write a balanced chemical reaction for the reaction of zinc with iodine, assuming that zinc and iodine each exist in the solid as atoms?

If both are a solid, I would imagine that both would be in the salt form where you have [math]I^-[/math] and [math]Zn^{2+}[/math]So you have a fairly boring reaction of[math]2I^- + Zn^{2+} \xrightarrow{} ZnI_2[/math]The only fancy thing that could happen is if the oxidation state of Zinc changes as with Copper.[math]2I^- + Cu^{2+} \xrightarrow{} CuI_2[/math][math] 2CuI_2 \xrightarrow{} 2CuI +I_2[/math]

Write the balanced chemical equation for the reaction between vinegar (acetic acid) and sodium hydroxide.?

HC2H3O2(aq) + NaOh(s) -> HOH(l) + NaC2H3O29aq)
other question- acetic acid is aqueous so the added water will lower the molarity of the acid but wont interfere with the rxn

Write the balanced chemical equation?

Fe2+(aq) + MnO4-(aq) ---> Fe3+(aq) + Mn2+(aq) (acidic solution)

to balance this...
1. Write the half reactions:

Fe2+(aq) ---> Fe3+(aq) (oxidation)

MnO4-(aq) ---> Mn2+(aq) (reduction)

2. Balance each half reaction:

Fe2+(aq) ---> Fe3+(aq) + e-

MnO4-(aq) + 8H+(aq) + 5e- ---> Mn2+(aq) + 4H2O

3. Combine the half reactions to give the overall reaction:
5Fe2+(aq) ---> 5Fe3+(aq) + 5e-
MnO4-(aq) + 8H+(aq) + 5e- ---> Mn2+(aq) + 4H2O
--------------------------------------...
5Fe2+(aq) + MnO4-(aq) + 8H+(aq) ---> 5Fe3+(aq) + Mn2+(aq) + 4H2O

Write the balanced chemical equation for the reaction of calcium metal with aqueous hydrochloric acid?

Ca(s) + 2HCl(aq) = CaCl2(aq) + H2(g)

Write the balanced chemical equation for the reaction shown here...?

here's what I see

N2Cl4 + CH4 ---> CCl4 + N2 + 2H2

3) Write the balanced chemical equation?

Write the balanced chemical equation for the neutralization reaction that occurs when an aqueous solution of nitric acid (HNO3) is mixed with an aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide (NaOH).

Indicate the physical states of the reactants and products using the abbreviations (s), (l), (g), or (aq) for solids, liquids, gases, or aqueous solutions, respectively.

I have no idea where to begin!

What is a balanced chemical equation for the reaction between sodium and water?

Balanced equation is:2Na(s) + 2H2O → 2NaOH(aq) + H2(g)
