Is Libya a democracy now?

Who elected the rebels? Why where they chosen by the west to overthrow the government? Will they have free and fair elections, even if that means no rebel holds any office?

Also, will the people loyal to Qaddafi try to retaliate against the United States?

Food Democracy?

The Rise of Food Democracy by Brian Halweli

What does Halweil mean by food democracy?

Do you see any evidence of this in your community?

Perhaps you were surprised by the dominance of a few multinational corporations in your local supermarket. What processes have produced this, and how is globalization part of this phenomenon?

Did Fox news devote any air time to the death of Howard Zinn?

I don't know about air time this week because I rarely watch Fox. Fox news radio reported his death. Overall, it seems Fox didn't like Zinn very much. According to another link posted, Greta called him a Marxist last month and O'Reilley mentioned him, along with Amnesty International and the Red Cross, in a segment called "What To Do With American Who Help The Enemy In The War On Terror?"

Zinn was occasionally a guest on Democracy Now! and they have a good page linking many of his interviews, articles, etc.

Thank you Howard Zinn for being a voice of, and for, the people!!

Reuters, BBC, CNN: Among the three, What is the FAIR news organization in reporting Israel - Gaza conflict?

Of the three I would say that Reuters and the BBC are the least biased and most accurate. They attempt to cover stories as unbiased as possible but there is always some bias on the part on individual newsmen, no matter how hard they try not to be. Nationality, cultural upbringing, politics, religion, life experiences all influence how a person looks at, and interprets, an event. This bias can affect how the story changed as it progresses from the journalist, through the editors at the regional headquarters, to the homes base and then out to the newspaper/TV station and even there it can be changed because of editors bias or company policy.

Are there any unbiased news anchors left?

I like Anderson Cooper and Brit Hume. You'd think these two would be incompatable and in a way they are. Still, I think they give the news. They hand pick which news to give, so you have to watch them both. I'm so confused I don't know what unbiased means anymore.
