Xbox Sent Me Two Xbox

Xbox sent me two xbox's....?

Okay I sent my Xbox to microsoft to get the optical drive fixed, and I received a brand new Xbox in the mail a few weeks later. I was sent a new Xbox (wasn't in a actual package or anything but was just the Xbox itself packaged). I downloaded all of my stuff (which took 3 days) thinking this was the one they sent me. Then they send me this email a week later saying they didn't mean to send me an extra Xbox (the first one I received) and my Xbox would arrive a week later and that they would send me an email discussing how to return the Xbox and that I would receive a $20 Microsoft card. I didn't respond to the email because I was just so pissed that I just downloaded everything. Well a week later I received my Xbox. Then today I received this email of them saying this "

Dear Jacob Schirm,

This email provides you with instructions on how to return the additional Xbox One Console you recently received from Microsoft.
Please send the additional Xbox One Console back to our service center. To do so:

We recognize the inconvenience to you in returning the product, because of that, we will provide you a $20 (or equivalent) gift code to use toward a game or downloadable content when we receive the unit back by October 31st.

Are there legal ramifications if I just keep it? It was a **** up on their part not mine. And they sent it to me. What should I do?

Do you have an Xbox One?

Not yet. I’ve never been much of a first adopter, so I decided to wait. Not to mention, I was still playing Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Skyrim, Red Dead Redemption, and the Bioshock series on the 360, so those, combined with having 3 kids, I had enough to keep me busy. And I believe back then too, the backward compatibility feature hadn’t yet been introduced, so I wasn’t interest yet. Then as I started thinking more about it, the next gen-next gens (PS4 Pro and the Xbox One X) were rumored, so I again waited…figuring I’d rather have the upgraded versions, and am in no hurry still.Fast forward to now, the PS4 Pro came out last year and the Xbox One X just came out…I still plan on welcoming myself to the next gen, but moving plans are swirling with us now, so I really don’t want to take the plunge until we’re settled.Long way to say NO, right?

Can I play on the same profile on two Xbox Ones at the same time?

You can have your account downloaded on multiple Xbox consoles at once and either console will get all of the Gold benefits, but you can't access Xbox Live from them simultaneously. So if console A is logged onto to Xbox Live and then someone turns on console B and logs that on with the same account, then console A will automatically be logged out. Console A can still do offline stuff (i.e. playing offline single player or local co-op/multiplayer) on that account at the same time that console B is signed into the same account and logged onto Live, but that's about the extent of it.Only one of you can actually be logged into Xbox Live at a time. So be prepared to be constantly kicked out of Live matches and Netflix if you both plan to use the same account.(Although this can be avoided if you plan your Live time accordingly)

Why is xbox so lame?!?

ive had two xbox's get the "red ring of death" or whatever and when i tried mailing one back for repair all i got was some retard who bairly knew english give me the wrong address to send it back, so it was returned to me... how about they make sure their consoles are more effecient so i wont throw away 500!!!!!!

Does Xbox really give you two free games a month?

Yes, this is true, but the games are not always A-List titles and you don't get to choose. Its just 2 random games. This month we actually got lucky. We got Watchdogs (an A-List) and Speedrunners. Not sure about that last one. We also get a 360 game each month as well. This month it is Dragon Age Origins.Once you add these games to your library, they are yours forever. It really is a pretty good deal. In my opinion it way more than covers the cost of a monthly subscription to Xbox Live. That being said, Microsoft exists to make money, and it doesn't escape me that there is something sneaky going on behind the scenes, but for now I will enjoy what I got and be thankful that we get free games. As a side note, I happen to have a PS4 as well, and Sony does the same thing with PS Plus (their version of Live Gold). 2 free games a month. If there's no room on your hard drive, add it to your library and download it later!

Has your Xbox 360 gotten the Red Ring of Death?

Yeah, it sucked. So it started pretty weirdly, my xbox would just take forever to actually set up and get off the Xbox screen from start up.From there, it got worse and one time just got stuck on start up. Eventually with each time I turned it on, it just got stuck. I thought not much of it really but was a little concerned. Followed by the dreaded sight. One which strikes fear into the heart of all 360 gamers.(Fix the Red Ring of Death! (Without Towels))At that point I was 13, I literally shouted “OH FOR FUCK SAKE MAN”My mum ran in the room to shout at me and I explained what went on.I went without my Xbox for a few days, I said there’s no point sending it off, it’ll cost a lot and we have more important things to worry about.I went out to the shops with my mum one day to help out (a week or so after the red ring started) then we went into a different shop and my mum said, “look you love gaming, we’ll buy a 360 console without the wires or hardrive and you can just switch over”I felt so humbled, my mum understood how much I loved gaming, and she bought me a console as she said she would. it was cheap in comparison to a normal Xbox with wires but it was still expensive, I asked if she was sure and she smiled and nodded.I’m still so thankful even to this day, I’m 19, and I still remember this day like it happened yesterday, I didn’t lose my love for gaming because of it, and I couldn’t be happier.I love my parents, they’ve done so much for me, and they’ve made me who I am today. I’m thankful for them, not just what they do, but who they are.

Why is there such as big feud between who has an Xbox or a PlayStation console? Does it really matter?

Because wars create money. Controversy however made creates money. Does it matter? The question should be“Are you as a player happy with whatever you game on? “I personally own an xbox 1 and have owned every xbox.I have owned a few ps2's and a ps1 but never anything beyond.I prefer the controller, online service, media capabilities and backwards compatibility of xboxs current generation. I also love running hacked games and emulation software through Xboxes developer mode.Mods for the two capable bethesda games are infinitely better on xbox. Sony seems to have lost contact with what consumers want in some areas…ughAre there exclusives I want to try on sony or Nintendo's system?? Of course. Im poor though. The grass in there side is green as well is the point but im comfortable here.Send me a free ps4 or switch and I will play them all.

Game help? Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, or a PS4?

I went to Gamestop and the cashier told me that I am more excited for the PS4 rather than the two other games, but he told me that the Xbox One is that you can play old Xbox 360 games? As for the Switch? I just have a feeling that the only games that I am looking forward to play are Animal Crossing, Pokemon games, and Mario games

Why can't I send friend requests on Xbox LIVE?

Microsoft is experiencing technical difficulties since 3PM EST. You may have trouble getting online, joining friends games and parties, marketplace trouble, unable to send friend requests and random lag/glitching. They are working hard to restore these services to XBOX LIVE users. Keep trying every once in a while or check out their site status for updated information every 30 minutes. http://support.xbox.com/en-AU/xbox-live-...
