Yahoo Changed My Group To Restricted. I Did Not Do It. But I Can

How do I change my group from Private to Public?

there are 3 types of settings
* public
* restricted
* closed
when people post they have a private group, it's hard to know which you're talking about
management- under group settings click membership- Membership Type and Welcome Message (Edit) <-- click the edit

if you have a closed membership group, when you're on that page you will see
**Closed (only invited members can join)
This setting cannot be changed.**

Yahoo means it, it can not be reversed.

if you don't see that, you'll be able to select public- click save changes when done

How do I change my group settings for Yahoo Groups?

start here. Click management lower left on your group page, in the next window click messages; scroll down click edit beside posting and archives. Make your selections and save.

Can't change group type or email settings?

If you see the linked image of my control panel, it's apparent that many of the optional settings are greyed-out. I've read that if you make member emails hideable, that changes the group type to 'custom' automatically. This has not happened in my group's case.

Can someone tell me how to customise these settings? I'd like non-members to see everything, but not to be able to post. I'd like membership to be restricted, yet the group's activities to be visible to the public for now, so that events can be publicised.

If there were absolutely no restrictions placed upon you,what would you most want to do in life?

I asked a 20-yr old that was a business major this exact same question, and he said he would not be studying business, but rather, be a singing doctor. I told him the best occupation for him would be a music therapist. He would help heal his patients through music. His eyes became big as saucers, and he changed his major to physical therapy.

My son is also studying business. I asked him this question, and without hesitation, he said 'A Primary Care Physician'. I told him to change majors. He chaned, and is now studying pre-med.

I am a teacher in my spirit. I teach music and career counseling. I am doing what I love.

How has your perception of race changed over time?

yes. it's never been about that, it's about money, and the haves and the have nots.

HELP - HOA insurance question, FUTURE CHANGES, PET RULES ETC.?

HOA insurance breed restrictions are NOT going to grandfather in someone with a prohibited breed dog - they'll just flat out refuse to give insurance to your association.

Technically, because your name is NOT on the deed of the house, and you are not married to the deeded owner, you are a TENANT, not the owner. Any HOA laws applying to TENANTS or RENTERS, would apply to you - even if you are not actually paying rent.

It's quite likely that you COULD get a rule passed that says no pittbulls, if all of a sudden, the association cannot find any insurance company willing to give them a master policy with liability coverage. Although State Farm might not have any breed restrictions, will they WRITE a condo master policy, at all, at any price, in your area? If not, it does NO GOOD to know of a company with no breed restrictions.

Something in writing isn't going to do you much good, as it can be changed. Your best bet would be to have one of your parents join the association, to advocate and keep you informed of things that happen in advance of you being blindsided.

And your parents should have an ATTORNEY to read the bylaws, and address the dog concerns, BEFORE they purchase this unit. This is more of a legal question, than an insurance one - but yes, HOA can change rules, and most bylaws say that you are bound to any changes.

Do religions restrict ones free will?

I found another tricky topic while working on my story for college...

In my story, a Chinese man named Chēng wanted to convert to his local religion. He later discovered that everything that he did normally was considered "harmful" in his religion. To gain trust from his colleagues and mentors, he restricted his activities and verbal dialogue to match the standards of his religion. Eventually, he wanted to depart from the religion that he joined, but the group claimed that he was leaving because he was posessed by a malficious demon.

I realized that what Chēng did seems similar to what most modern-day religions do:
Most religions follow a "join or die" kind of ruling. Like I said in one of my earlier questions, it's either be loved by one and hated by everyone else, or join no one and be condemned behind your back. If you join a religion, they expect you to follow everything with precision, or else.

My question is, do the rules and laws of certain religions restrict (not remove) people's free will?

**Remember, don't take this question too seriously. If you plan to answer against this question, do not use negative critizism, use logic.**

What is your criteria for the true religion?

Christianity, Islam, and Judaism. The 3 true religions. God created these religions. Buddhism, Sikhism and Hinduism are philosophies, they are found by people.
